Discontinuing Star ATM Program
Dear Member,
As of May 30, 2008, the credit union has discontinued the Star ATM program.
Following are your options if you wish to continue having ATM or Debit card access.
Please consider our Visa Check Card. No checks are required unless you choose to purchase them. You can pay bills by ACH, purchase on-line and pay by check card at vendors that take Visa. A share draft/checking account is needed to have ATM/Debit Card access. If you don’t want a checking account but still want the card to access your savings using the ATM feature, we can also help you there. Call us for more details on this feature.
Again, you will be able to make purchases with no fees from a vender or from us. If you use the Visa Check Card at an ATM to get money you will be assessed a fee from the institution you make the ATM withdrawal from plus an additional $1.25 from us. So it is best used when you make purchases. It is pretty much like a credit card except it goes right to the checking account for payment.
Allianceone.coop is a web site you can access to find an ATM that will not charge you for ATM access, although we will still be charging the $1.25 for withdrawals and transfers.
Any questions please call us and we will be more than happy to help you with this transition.
Also, we offer on-line banking. Please give us a call and we will get you set up.
